Building Our New Home
After an exciting summer of places, faces and spaces, ADS has now settled into our new building in the downtown art district of Rahway, NJ. However, the journey has just begun. Our team is taking steps toward creating a modern, open work environment that will be our new home as we move into a bright future.
Taking inspiration from the arts district of Rahway, the ADS creative space will be like no other. CEO Mark Ciapka says:
It all starts with the right building, and 1501 Main Street spoke to us. It's important to create an atmosphere that our team is proud of, and reflects and supports our culture as a company. Creative, collaborative and innovative—a work hard, play hard environment is crucial to our continued success.
Construction on the first floor began by knocking down multiple internal walls, which creates an open and collaborative atmosphere. A new three-level heating and cooling system provides comfort across all levels of the building.
The design inspiration came from rustic industrial buildings with a contemporary modern aesthetic. Open ceilings, vibrant colors, and drop lighting work in tandem to create our unique environment that reflects an old-school look with a modern feel and embraces our future of continued growth. Walls will be lined in Plexiglas to be used as whiteboards ensuring that no idea is forgotten. The building itself will be a canvas for expression and creativity. Along the side of our building, local artists will lend their hand in the creation of a mural to depict our unique sense of style as well as the new direction of Rahway. Construction is planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2017 as the ADS team works diligently and plays on the second floor.
